Try using the right accents each time... they are never gratuitous.

1) "Encontraba". Just like "aparecía", which you got right. You're describing a situation
during the dream.
2) "No pudo" means the dream is over and he could never tell Inés about the danger.
"No podía" means that
during the dream he was trying to tell her, but he failed each time he tried.
