When to use a definite article before a proper noun in Spanish?

Hello

Like the title says. I think I know most of the rules regarding definite articles in spanish. I know if there's a title then we use up the article (la seƱora Rodriguez).

I've been told putting a definite article before a name is derogatory (voy con la Anita)

I also know that for some countries like El Salvador, it is required, but this is on a case by case basis

But what other times would you use a definite article prior to using a proper noun?
