Estoy de acuerdo con todo lo que dices salvo esto de que la gente no entendía el latín vulgar. A no ser que estés usando el término como término técnico, en cual caso una definición aclararía el asunto, ¿no significa el forma de latín que hablaba la gente común, o sea, el "romance"?
