Question The end of this student's remandment is scheduled to end (date).

The end of this student's remandment is scheduled to end (date). I am requesting that he be allowed to return to his school of zone on (date) so that he will be able to begin the (next) semester with his schoolmates.

Note: This is part of a letter to the school board requesting early release from an alternative school where students who have been suspended or expelled from school can continue their education, at a school with stricter rules, etc. They arrive each a.m and are searched for weapons, etc., and they leave each p.m. It is not a jail or detention center. So I think the word "condena" might be too strong for "remandment." I didn't find remandment in the dictionary. Remandment also is not a suspension or expulsion; attendance at such a school is a privilege and does not happen automatically with a suspension or expulsion.

My attempts: El fin del plazo de sanción para este estudiante es programado para el ___________ OR

El fin del período de asistencia a una escuela alternativa para este estudiante es programado para el ____________.

I like sanción better, but I want to make sure it is accurate. Thanks! You may answer in English or Spanish. Any and all suggestions, corrections are welcome!
