Would you say "on my own", too?
I wouldn't. The phrase "on my own" used in the sentence "I am teaching myself spanish on my own" sounds very redundant.
The sentence "I am teaching spanish on my own" implies that you are a teacher teaching a class without the help of another teacher.
If I were to use the phrase "on my own" I would say "I am learning spanish on my own."
