No, not as far as I could tell. The accent is Spanish from Spain (FYI ironically many Latinos identify that accent as puro gallego--in reality gallego is another language all together) and it sounds really different from Latin American accents.

Ah. Every time I think about the movie, I picture Latin American spanish, so maybe that's why I thought it was in a regional dialect.
I may have to rent it again and to to listen to the spanish this time; though I can garuntee I wouldn't understand most of it.
