When I was there in 1984, I thought it was SO beautiful there. Since then I have often wanted to return there (thus the 2005 trip). I am a hobbyist photographer and wanted to drive the coastline of Denmark - which is one of the things that I had the opportunity to do in 2005. Here are some of my favorite photos from that trip:

As far as learning to speak Danish........ I am not very good at my native language (English). My brain doesn't "do" language very well. (I'm a mathematician by training and by nature.) I attempted to learn Spanish 20 years ago (unsuccessfully), but because some new colleagues-turned-close-friends are from Latin America, I have decided to try again to learn to speak Spanish. I don't know that I could handle a third language!
