Hizo Trizas
People,
I ran across the following sentence: "Hizo trisas el florero". I think that something is strange here. It stipulates that a person, third person singular, broke the flower vase. I think that more common would be: "Se hizo trisas el florero". Right? If a person did it, third person signular, wouldn't the preposition "a" be necessary? "Hizo trisas al florero". If I had broken it, I think that I would say: "¡Ay! Se hizo trisas. Perdone". Dean |

Yes, that implies that you did not intentionally break it. Last edited by wrholt; October 14, 2020 at 09:48 PM. |

WR Holt,
You nailed it! Thanks! This is the best forum on the internet. I don't know why more people are not aware of it. Dean |
