Today we are going to skip over the adverb and focus on the adjective.

(That means miss out the adverb entirely. If you mean deal with it superficially, then:Today we are going to skip through the adverb in order to focus on the adjective.)

That "encima" means superficially/briefly/not in a detailed manner/way.

Thanks, in which case Today we are just going to touch on adverbs so that we can concentrate more fully on adjectives.
