This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for May 26, 2008
vestido - masculine noun (el), dress. Look up vestido in the dictionary Un vestido negro nunca debe faltar en el guardarropas de una mujer. Every woman needs a black dress in her closet.

Yes, if it's already understood that you're refering to a dress, it's OK to say something like "How about that little black number?"
