Pasar tiempo

When I am not in class I am going to enjoy my time by spending time on the beach:
Cuando no esté en clase voy a disfrutar de mi tiempo y pasar tiempo en la playa.

Is there another way to capture the meaning of ‘by spending time’ instead of using ‘y’ and avoid repetition of ‘pasar’?

Thanks.
