Zeta "Z" pronunciation
Hi Guys,
For Zeta, I would like to ask about the spanish pronunciation "th" I know in south american, they pronounce as "s" sound. I have some notes, telling me Z, the "th" sounds goes with "Za", "Zo" & "Zu" but cross, not "ze" & "zi" But isn't Zeta itself already it's Ze I realized that Za Ce Ci Zo Zu they're group together, is it because of the Th sound? but why not "ze" & Zi"? Thanks in advance. |

Because there are very few words with ze/zi (as zigzag, zeta, enzima) I guess with foreign origin, and surnames, too. So, we use ce/ci for the same sound. Anyway, ze/zi is correct, too, since we have some words with this combination.

Leà en unos dialectos dad es pronunciado asà (thad)
Pero es más parecido a (dath)?

Latin Americans are happier, pronouncing "z" and "c" like "s".

Escucha también http://es.forvo.com/word/madrid#es de Duhbeed. (Hay cinco pronunciaciones distintas para Madrid entre 8 hablantes: Madrid, MadrÃ, Madrit, Madrif, y Madril). Un cubano me dijo que propone reformar la ortografÃa para eliminar la z. Pero no creo que sirva para los españoles. Última edición por pjt33 fecha: December 30, 2009 a las 04:54 PM |
