Hola
Hace mucho que no escribí nada. Acabo de tener una plática con mi novia la cual es de Monterrey, México. Ella me preguntó "¿Crees que le guste esto a Meg(una amiga de ella)?". Yo me fijé más en que usó el subjuntivo. No soy nativo pero estoy muy seguro de que se usa el imperativo con "creer que". Les pido una aclaración por favor

Querías escribir "el indicativo" en vez de "el imperativo", y sí, tienes razón.

Muchas gracias, Rusty Ella todavía no lo cree Nació y creció en Monterrey pero insiste en que se usa el subjuntivo. Dice que tiene que ver con el futuro . Pues bueno...

Voy a suponer que se trata de un objeto que se compró para regalarle a una amiga. Si existe duda de que el objeto va a gustarle a su amiga en el futuro, cuando se lo regale, se tiene que usar el subjuntivo, porque no hay certidumbre de que ya le gusta en este momento.
- Le compré una pulsera a mi hermana. ¿Crees que le guste? -> La pregunta es si te parece que le gustará cuando la vea. Si puede haber ambigüedad entre certeza e incertidumbre, se pueden usar las dos conjugaciones, dependiendo de qué tenga el hablante en mente cuando se expresa: - Rosario dice que le gusta el pescado crudo, pero nunca la he visto comerlo. ¿Crees que de veras le guste? -> Tengo dudas sobre la veracidad de lo que dice Rosario; la pregunta es si tú sospechas, igual que yo, que ella miente. - .......... ¿Crees que de veras le gusta? -> Partiendo de que hay una afirmación que no debería dejar lugar a dudas, mi propia sospecha de que miente no es relevante y entonces uso el indicativo. Para este tipo de casos, el indicativo sólo existe cuando no hay lugar a dudas o cuando la pregunta no se refiere a una falta de certidumbre: - Juan siempre escucha música de los Beatles. ¿Crees que le gusta eso? -> Ya sabemos con certeza que a Juan le gustan los Beatles; la pregunta es si en tu opinión los gustos de Juan son aceptables.

El subjuntivo y la incertidumbre van de la mano con frecuencia.
- No sé si Roberto esté en su casa el viernes. - Dudo que podamos vernos en Navidad. - Temo que pueda llover más tarde - Gane quien gane, hay que disfrutar la competencia.
