Lightbulb Tiene trampa

To have a catch.

E.g.
Salesman: We can give you a year's car insurance for 15€.
Fred: That sounds too good to be true. What's the catch?

Good PJT33.

You can also say: It sounds like a come on.
It's a gimmick.

I would understand that as flirting rather than glossing over flaws.

Yes caveat emptor and buyer beware is a worning that there may be a
trampa lurking.
Unlike Great Britain, a come on in the United States can be used as a merchandising come on as well as a flirting devise. Anyone who looks at this forum knows that regionalism is a major factor in word and phrase meanings.
