When to use "no" and when "non"?

Being the language lovers that we are... A place to talk about, or write in languages other than Spanish and English.

When to use "no" and when "non"?

When do I use "no" and when "non"? I found a German website which was no help at all. I don't expect much as we don't have many members that speak Italian.

Anyways, thanks.

"No" it's is used as negative answer. "Non" is used to create a negative sentence".

- Ti chiami Lorenzo? No, mi chiamo Luigi.
(Is your name Lorenzo? No, my name is Luigi.)

- Ti chiami Lorenzo? No, non mi chiamo Lorenzo.
(Is your name Lorenzo? No, my name is not Lorenzo.)

- Vuoi una birra? No, voglio un caffè.
(Do you want a beer? No, I want a coffee.)

- Vuoi una birra? No, non voglio bere alcool.
(Do you want a beer? No, I don't want to drink alcohol.)

Cuándo se usa el NON
NON
