Le vs La

I have to collect 'her' from school:
Tengo que recoger'la' del colgio.

I know for 'him', we can use ‘le’ as well as ‘lo’, but is it ever correct to use ‘le’ for a girl?
Tengo que recoger'le' del colgio.
