Use of “Después” in this sentence
I understand the general meaning of this sentence but I am struggling with the placement of “después”.
“A su alrededor, otras gaviotas nadaban o volaban para lanzarse después al agua en busca de pececillos.” Can someone explain what effect después has in this sentence? Thank you.
