Overwhelming odds
Hi,
From Context Reverso: Despite the overwhelming odds, the team fought on, determined to give no quarter. A pesar de las probabilidades abrumadoras, el equipo luchó con determinación de no dar cuartel. Is it a correct translation? Las probabilidades abrumadoras look suspicious for me. In fact, I can't tell, unfortunately In English, odds has a connotation of poor chances, whereas probabilidad must be neutral. |
