Question Pan

pan: a shot in which the camera moves horizontally around a fixed axis to survey an area.

Una toma en la que la cámara se desplaza horizontalmente en torno a un eje establecido (fijo) para examinar una zona (área).

That is my first attempt at the translation of the term's definition, as a noun.

Any feedback on the translation will be appreciated, but my KEY question here is HOW DO YOU SAY PAN in Spanish, (both the noun and the verb forms.) ? recorrer con la cámara? panear? toma panorámica?

(Hey, do not mix with the great film El laberinto del fauno/Pan's Labyrinth...)
