Talking ¡Hola, hola!: Trying to leave "Spanglish" behind

¡Hola a todos! Nunca puedo presentarme muy bien jeje. Perdóname por favor. Vivo en los Estados Unidos y he estado acusado de hablar Spanglish. I'm really trying to changed this because it gets very annoying, not only to the listener but to me as well. No es porque no sé las palabras que quiero decir, pero porque, de vez en cuando, me siento muy lazy. Bueno... sometimes it's because I don't know certain words.

He estudiado español desde hace 5~6 años, más o menos, a intervalos, pero cada día aprendo algo más. I am far from fluent -- just scraping intermediate it feels.
