Que Digo

Hola,

Would like to understand when the phrases ¡Que Digo! and mejor dicho should be used.
I read in my tutorial that they are used to "corregir lo que uno mismo dicho"
This is confusing me, I thought these phrases mean "Well said" , something like an appreciation.

Also ,what does "Pues a lo que ibamos" mean?
I understand ibamos but not "Pues a lo que".

To give you the complete sentence "Pues a lo que ibamos, Marta yo creo que la situación va a mejor mucho".

Gracias,
Raji
