Drawing a long bow

Question Drawing a long bow

If someone draws a long bow, they lie or exaggerate.

Is there a nice Spanish expression to convey this idea of "exaggerating" or "lying"?

I see Moliner gives some good ones, but maybe you have a better one not covered... and fitting better.
ser mucho cuento, tener mucho cuento, ir demasiado lejos, desorbitar las coas, cargar la mano, exagerar la nota, pintarlo muy dramático, rizar el rizo, cargar [o recargar] las tintas, andaluzada, decir con mucho aspaviento, exageración, hazañería, el oro y el moro, el parto de los montes, portuguesada. De dineros y bondad, la mitad de la mitad; hacer un drama, ni tanto ni tan calvo...
