Unas preguntas

Cómo se dice

"They were playing at the beach and they were burying their shoes in the sand and they lost Lucas shoes."

"Estaban jugando en la playa y estaban enterrando sus zapatos en la arena y perdieron los zapatos de Lucas"

" It wasn't your average weekend"

"No fue tu fin de semana típico"

"He got locked in the toilet" "se quedó cerrado en el aseo"

"I think that you think that he speaks better than in reality he does"

"Pienso que tu piensas que habla mejor que en realidad, hace/habla"

"Thank goodness that our friend who is a lawyer was there because if not, my parents wouldn't have known what they were signing"

"Menos mal que una amiga nuestra quien es abogada estaba, porque si no mis padres no habrian/hubieran sabido lo que estaban firmando"

Gracias por corregirme, pero en la ultima frase cual es "habrian o hubieran"?

Y una pregunta mas como se dice "When we meet it's us who do most of the talking, not the boys" "Cuando no quedamos es nosotros quienes hablar mas, no los chicos"

Muchas Gracias

Para mí, cualquiera de las dos sirven, no sé si estaré equivocado gramaticalmente

("habrían" = conditional, "hubiaran" = past subjunctive, both forms of the verb "haber" which forms the compound perfect forms of verbs. "no habrían/hubieran sabido" = "they hadn't known". In this context these two forms of "haber" is are interchangeable.)

Y una pregunta mas (spelling: mas = "but" [fairly literary], "más" = "more") (*) (missing punctuation: your question starts here) como (spelling: interrogative) se dice "When we meet it's us who do most of the talking, not the boys" "Cuando no quedamos ("quedar(se)" does not mean "meet" in this context: choose another verb. Also I assume you meant to write "nos" = us and not "no" = no.) es nosotros (subject/verb agreement) quienes hablar (you need a conjugated form, not the infinitive) mas (spelling: "but" or "more"), no los chicos"

Muchas Gracias
What expressions have you learned so far for "to meet"?

(Se) quedó encerrado en el toilette/baño/aseo/servicio

Pienso que (tú) crees que (él/ella) habla mejor de lo que en realidad lo hace.

Cual es mejor? "Se quedó cerrado en el baño" o "Se quedó ENcerrado" en el baño" Quiero decir que mi hijo cerró la cerradura y no podía abirla, así que lo hizó sin querer.

Gracias

"quedé cerrado en el baño" ---> 0 results in Google
"quedé encerrado en el baño" ---> 141,000 results in Google (in fact 326 results, from which some 200 are real)

Es el baño el que está cerrado (con llave, con pasador, o porque el cerrojo se trabó) y tú encerrado en él (si no puedes abrirlo o destrabarlo).

@chileno, are you sure that in this sentence "Menos mal que una amiga nuestra quién es abogada estaba, porque si no mis padres no habrían/hubieran sabido lo que estaban firmando" 'quien' has an accent mark? Because in this case that 'quien' would replace 'que'. I was taught that the 'quién' (with accent mark) is only used in two cases: exclamations and questions.
