Please help correct this

Gracias The hair dye came in a bottle. You put it in your hair over over a few months and each time the hair went a bit lighter. The problem was that because my hair was so dark each time I put it in, it went lighter but it nevered went completely blonde it ended up as orange and wouldn't go lighter. La tinte venía en in bote. Se iba poniendose en el pelo durante unos meses y cada vez el pelo se ponía mas clarito. El problema era que porque tenía el pelo muy oscurro cada vez que me lo ponía, el pelo se ponía in poco mas clarito pero nunca completemente rubio, quedaba naranja yo no se ponía mas rubio. |

La tintura venía en un frasco. Te la ibas poniendo en el pelo a lo largo de algunos meses y en cada ocasión el pelo se ponía un poco más claro. El problema era que debido a que (tengo/tenía) el pelo muy oscuro, cada vez que me lo ponía se tornaba más claro pero nunca se iba por completo a rubio, quedando anaranjado no queriendo aclararse más.

Thank you
Just another quick question could you say "ibas poniéndotela" instead of "the la ibas poniendo"? Why is it " la" when we are talking about "el tints"? |

Yes, it's the same.
That "la" is a mistake from me. It must be "lo". A pleasure. |
