Personal ‘a’
Which from each of these pairs below is the correct option?
Are both options correct in any case? • He llamado a la agencia de viajes / He llamado la agencia de viajes. • He llamado al agente de viajes / He llamado el agente de viajes. • Voy a llamar al operador turístico / Voy a llamar el operador turístico • Voy a pagar al hombre / Voy a pagar el hombre • Voy a llamar al taxi / Voy a llamar el taxi (I’m sure I've heard both of these) Many thanks. |

Not necessarily personal "a"s.
Voy a pagar al hombre (better "le voy a pagar al hombre") = I'm gonna pay him Voy a pagar el hombre = I'm gonna pay for him (suitable when calling an agency while organizing a bachelorette party ) He llamado a la agencia de viajes ---> and they've answered He llamado la agencia de viajes ---> and they've come
