Hola a todos,

La frase en cuestión es del libro Cuenta contigo de Patricia Ramírez Loeffler.

Las personas risueñas nos caen bien. Si piensas en que no tendrás éxito en el grupo, lo normal es que estés pendiente de ese tipo de señales (quién te mira con desconfianza, quién no te sonríe), pero si pruebas a hacer lo contario, anticipar que vas a estar a gusto, te fijarás en miradas cómplices y en sonrisas, y sabrás quién te invita a formar parte.

What does "anticipar que a estar a gusto" imply: anticipate that you'll like the group or that the group will like you?

I agree with Rusty.
The author is asking you to feel happy and at ease in advance, to picture yourself in a good mood surrounded of friendly people, instead of feeling nervous about meeting people that probably won't like you. You will feel more confident and will project that, so you will actually have a good time and enjoy yourself, even among strangers.
