Despintarse
This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for July 1, 2009
despintarse (verb) — to fade, wash off, take the color off. Look up despintarse in the dictionary Acabo de lavar mi pantalón y se despintó todo. I just washed my pants and the color came completely out of them.

Tienen color, sólo que despintado.
Podría usarse "deslavado" o "desteñido", pero mis tías y mi abuelita dirían claramente "despintado".

Obvioulsy it´s a word used in Mexico but not in Spain, in Spain it would only be used when sb has a lot of make-up on her face, to say take it off.
