This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for November 2, 2009

encharcar (verb) — to swamp, flood, puddle, form a puddle. Look up encharcar in the dictionary

Cuando llueve, el agua se encharca junto a la puerta de mi casa.
When it rains, I get a puddle of water by my front door.

encharcar = to swamp, to form a puddle

puddle = charco

To me, flood = inundar (to inundate)
