Secreto a voces

I think this means no big secret , but I'm not sure. Am I right?

I don't know if there is an idiom in English, but "un secreto a voces" is something everyone knows, but nobody talks openly about it.

La boda de ese cantante es un secreto a voces. Él lo niega, pero todos saben que se casó con su representante hace dos semanas.
The wedding of that singer is a well known fact. He denies it, but everybody knows that he married his manager two weeks ago.

Aunque no lo admita, es un secreto a voces que la campaña del gobernador fue financiada por los productores de papel. Es por eso que no los han castigado por contaminar el río.
Even if he doesn't admit it, it's a well known fact that the campaign of the gobernor has been financed by the paper producers. That's why they haven't been punished for polluting the river.

Juan trata de ocultarlo, pero es un secreto a voces que está enamorado de María.
Juan tries to hide it, but everyone knows that he's in love with María.

Hay varias obras con el título "El secreto a voces", una de Calderón de la Barca (1642) y otra de Clarín... Mi madre solía decir: "El secreto a voces: que lo supo Dios y todo el mundo".
Hace algún tiempo hice una búsqueda en la red y encontré que había un pastor y una pastora que creo que se habían contado sus secretos amorosos de montaña a montaña, creo, a través de un valle... Algo por el estilo. En fin, es un poco parecido a lo del niño que le dice a su madre: "Madre, que me pega Roque" y luego en voz baja, a Roque: "Pégame, Roque. Pégame, Roque".
