As all you have said the tarde noche is between the midday and daybreak before the 7 A.M.
Although is easier if the text was wrote En la media noche or Madrugada. I mean if the rescue was in the midday or the dawn. Sincerely yours.

Review this thread. Nobody said what you wrote. "Tarde noche" is NOT from 'midday and daybreak before 7 A.M.' Check post 4 particularly (by Angelica). (Let me know if any questions.)
