Sí, sale igual con Kleenex. In the U.S., people often say Kleenex for any brand of facial tissue, Band-Aid for any brand of adhesive strips, and Xerox for any type of copier. Coke is used to mean any brand of soft drink (pop, soda).
You eventually have to learn all the different words for something, don't you? |

Here in Spain we say Kleenex too, but in England it's tissues.

In Mexico the package will say papel higiénico, but most people say papel de baño.

en Colombia
decimos papel higienico (por lo menos en mi ciudad)....Hay tantas variaciones de un lugar a otro.....Y tambien any tissue of any brand decimos Kleenex....aunque sea de otra marca..LOL
Have you guys ever discussed Q-Tips???? I bet if I tell you what we call them in my hometown you would laugh and laugh
