The Oxford English Dictionary (OED) is the closest thing English has to a hall monitor. I gave my sister a copy for Christmas a few years ago. It cost me over 400 dollars, was 6 inches thick, and came with a magnifying glass to read the entries. I believe it has close to a million words, some 600,000 of which are still in use.

So, Oxford's to blame. Thanks cat, for the info.
I'm happy to hear that people drink in Utah. Get there safely. Cheers. |

You're right, you know. The least of any state in the union. Only 18%. But I work in the county they're all located.

Lucky for you your not moving to a dry county. That could be a truly absurd place to be for a bartender. Still, I'll bet you'll be mixing a lot of Shriley Temples, and sirving milk for those who dare. Cheers.

Actually, it's Diet Coke with lemon and lemonade flavored with whatever sickeningly sweet fruit syrup tickles your fancy. Utahns consume twice as much sugar per capita as the average American.
