I started the beginner class in February of 2014, almost 3 years ago.

We've done the grammar past the subjunctive, etc.

I should clarify that my dislike of French is the phonology in listening.

I get it!

Maybe you already do this, but, something that may help you is to get some good French songs and follow them along... (Georges Brassens, Moustaki... are good for their lyrics, and have excellent diction...)

Or something more current...
