En España usamos más "semejante" que "tal"

No me gustan semejantes actitudes (also "tales actitudes" is used, of course)

"Than" means "que" in English comparative.

I'm older than you = soy mayor que tú

Older = mayor, más viejo o más edad

En español también usamos a veces "grande" en algunos lugares para decir "de más edad"

No sé traducir muy bien "confío más en Rodrigo que en ti".

I suppose he joined the English "e" with the rest of the word in Spanish "nglés". Sometimes these mistakes are common.
