If I learn Spanish well, will I be able to understand Italian?

Tomé un curso de italiano por un año y ya se entiende unas palabras al principio por las similitudes, pero no más. Puedes aprenderlo más pronto que otros si ya hablas un idioma románico pero también notarás cosas que son diferentes que al español. Como pinosilano ya lo dijo, no es tan fácil como se cree.
