Well, I have a little neighbour girl who comes with us for a walk sometimes. I told her that we could speak English while walking because she is not very good at English. I tried to explain the verb 'to be', but when I said "I am", she asked me what did "I" mean, and I answered "yo". She said that her teacher had told her that "yo" is "me" in English. I said that her teacher was wrong and that "I" was "yo" and "me" was "mí or me" (depending on the context, of course). I couldn't explain to her that "I" meant "yo" in Spanish, so I gave up from teaching her English. Any subject needs a good teacher from its basis. That's my opinion.

Exactly her teacher was wrong me doesn't mean Yo in Spanish that means Mi or me like you told me.
Then well just you've started to teach then, and really it's good, likewise you practice more your skills and you remind some loss word since the deep of your mind, the same happens to me, now I'm teaching to 6 grade 5 grade 4 grade remember some words and some kind grammatical times, because my brother makes me the class for the next day. For example yesterday I taught the Simple present in first, second, third person doing some many question and together with affirmation, negative, interrogative, and just that thread was easy to teach for me. Don't you leave in the same place, trying to teach something, so you will able to learn more and more and more when like you to teach something and if it's English much better.

Just for enlightenment, the word 'me' is often used in English when 'I' should be used instead. This is especially prevalent when there is a multiple subject.
Me and Joe went to the store. Me and my sister share an apartment. Me and you should visit grandma today. I personally never speak that way, but I wanted to give you the information. Beginning a sentence with 'Me and' is grammatically wrong (and all too prevalent). Now, the correct way to say the sentences: Joe and I went to the store. My sister and I share an apartment. You and I should visit grandma today. There, now I feel better! |

Thanks, Rusty.
In Spanish is unpolite saying "Yo y X" (mi hermano, mi amiga, etc.). You must say, as you said, "X y yo". |

I hope this is not impolite.

@Perikles, that may be alright with certain friends and family members but one runs the risk of this if one does that to a stranger outside this virtual world. You're kidding of course and so do I
