Aquí, cuando le ofreces algo a alguien (como una cerveza) y él o ella te responde "gracias, ahorita", eso significa "in a little while" or "a little bit later" y no tiene el mismo sentido de "ahora mismo".

Estoy de acuerdo en que no es un verbo... es un adverbito.
Depende con qué tono lo digas. Por ejemplo, si alguien te pide hacer algo y respondes "ahorita", es que vas a tardar en hacerlo, pero si te lo piden "para ahorita", es ya mismo.
