In English we declare taxes just as in Spanish declaramos impuestos.
In English it's not a common a term, but you can get into trouble not declaring taxes. In the United States the term declare taxes usually
refers to paying taxes on fees as opposed to employment.
For example: I paint your house and you pay me my fee $2000.00.
By the end of the quarter (quarter year) I should declare.

I don't understand the "declaración de impuestos sobre la renta" ... does the word "renta" mean rent as in what you pay for rent? Or what you receive as rental income.

Hey......I warned you about the sqa!
You only get less money for your family or pocket, here on Mexico you need to pay the Impuesto sobre la renta this tax is some absurd, because here in this country the people is poor and anyway the government force to pay the taxes, this is the unit country where you have to pay tax almost in everything.

In your own house, your own car, your die, when you born, when you buy something, computers, houses, dog, food, medicaments, everything here have some kind to filed added in the rent.

I don't know, but here the government is a mugger and well just I don't agree with them.

For that motive, I have to pay the filed taxes each month with my salary or my taxes when I buy something for me or something else.

Here on Mexico don't is good to do deals with the government or you have a new business for your own personal develop.

Es verdad. Claro, ahora con el borrador no me entero de nada, pero antes, cuando hacía la renta con la calculadora al lado, ya me enteraba, ya... Antes te cargaban el 2% del valor catastral. Ahora lo han quitado (algo es algo...).

JPablo, would you mind explaining your sentence "eso, menos da una piedra"?

That, gives less a stone?

Are you saying that (the removed tax) bears less of a burden?

Wow, not exactly. This is a very 'slangy/colloquial' expression.

"Menos da un piedra" literally means that "a rock yields less profit than that", i.e. "it is better than nothing", "half a loaf is better than none" type of idea.
The phrase 'advices' to be satisfied with whatever you can get, even if that is very little.

Italians have one expression 'meglio che sputto in faccia' (don't trust my Italian spelling) meaning 'better than being spat at your face'.

I.e., 'don't complain' about it, even if the 'benefit' is minimal.

No hablo ni escribo italiano, pero eso lo traduciría como "mejor que escupo en la cara" y en inglés escribiste "mejor que ser escupido en la cara", parecido....

En italiano es literalmente: "Mejor que escupitajo [esputo] en rostro"
O lo que viene a ser lo mismo, "mejor que, que te escupan en la cara".
O mejor que tener una espina en el dedo...
O sea, que siempre hay cosas peores.
El 'sputto' en italiano es nombre (aunque lo traduje como verbo).

In BNC I can find:

It's better than a kick in the teeth.
She's better than a kick in the wot-nots!

(Although I don't think the second works as a direct replacement for "better than a faceful of spit").
