Elaina will become famous soon enough
@ Elaina

Sí, es canción que solía cantar javier Solís.
Pero al primera vez que la oí la cantó ... ¡Shakira!

Saludos [/quote]

Saludos
PD: I'm a big fan of Shakira, since the first "big" album ("pies descalzos" 1996)
Now in the USA it's more commercial (easier songs) but it's still special
And in the first albums she was not blonde......

I've read Byron, but I was more interested in his biography and all the gory details... The man was a true romantic in the widest sense of the word.
I've never read Terry Pratchett (is that the right spelling?), although I've given some of his novels as presents.
Anyway, I'm more into narrative than poetry. I find it a lot easier.

Lo siento, Sosia. No te iba a citar, pero debo haber tenido un momento Gemma y he apretado el botón equivocado. Pedir disculpas me cuesta menos que borrar otra vez...

CrOtALito.....nosotros solo vacilamos. Lo único en serio son las clases de gramática y vocabulario que uno aprende aquí.

Lo bueno es que con el vacile distendido también se aprende. Modismos, distintos registros...

Corrections above. You've used find hang before. It doesn't make any sense in English. What is it in Spanish?

It could have the same meaning as in Danish, "at finde hang til noget" ("to find hang to something").

It means that you have an interest in something, or that you feel attracted to something. The same meaning could fit pretty well in what CrOtAliTo wrote.

Just a wild guess, as Danish and Spanish normally aren't very similar.

That's not a wild guess. Judging from the context, and ignoring the phrase he's using, I would say "to not get into something," or "to not be one's thing." Both are idiomatic expressions that mean you don't particularly like something.
I wanted Crotalito to divulge the Spanish phrase behind the malformed phrase so that I can learn what it is. What he's using doesn't work.

Rusty, I said, I don't find the hand of something in the Shakira's music, the phrase in Spanish is very simply as you can understand, for example, if you haven't got the answer of some question, or you never have found the hang of the something in your life or wild object as El danes said only it's an expression of don't know something, I hope I behave me explained me well, or if you don't understand me please let me know.

The English phrase 'to get the hang of something' means that you're learning how to do something (better than before).
Tomarle/Agarrarle la mano/onda a algo.
Agarrarle/Cogerle el truco/tranquillo a algo.
Írsele dando mejor.

It's OK to say that you don't get the hang of Shakira's music, but only if you aren't seeing improvement in your attempts to learn how to play it, sing it, dance to it, etc.

If you don't understand Shakira's music, just say "I don't understand it," or "I don't get it."

If you don't particularly like her music, you can use these sentences:
I don't get into Shakira's music.
Her music is not my thing.

If you hate Shakira's music, you can say "I hate it," or "I can't stand it."

Now, back to my original request. Please tell me the Spanish phrase you're translating as 'find hang' so that I can learn what it is.
