¿Por qué comes chocolate?
Porque me gusta

Why do you eat chocolate?
Because I like it.

porque - answer (because)
por qué - question (why)

You are welcome, Joseph. Aside from your question I also have another question for the Spanish experts. Does qué by itself always spelled with the accented e?

Thank you.

No. "Que" as a conjunction -its more frequent use- bears no stress mark

Spanish is a language where subject is often tacit.
The conjugated verb "dije" already has the subject expressed. The fact that each pronoun has its own conjugation tells who the subject is.

"Le" is an indirect object pronoun for the third person singular.
