Trastorno de estrés post tramático......

Stress post traumático.

Suele decirse así en España. Utilizamos el anglicismo stress. Supongo que, en español, debes escribir estrés post-traumático.

Buena pregunta. No caí en la cuenta. Supongo que depende del libro de estilo de la editorial. Tanto post como pos son prefijos aceptados en español que significan lo mismo. Ninguna regla de formación de palabras te obliga a usar uno u otro, pero, una vez que te decides por una forma, debes mantener la decisión en todo el texto. Por la cacofonía, parece aconsejable utilizar la primera de las dos opciones válidas que aparecen a continuación:
  • Postraumático.
  • Post-traumático.
Pero hay editoriales que prefieren no usar el guión para partir palabras.

Sin embargo, no serían correctos:
  • Pos-traumático.
  • Post traumático

De las dos opciones incorrectas, ¿hay una regla? ¿Será que cuando usas post debe seguir un guión y pos debe unirse con la palabra que sigue?

Por supuesto, pos- no existe de manera aislada. Sólo post- es admisible. En cambio, al aglutinar, puedes optar tanto por post como por pos, siempre que sea posible. En el caso anterior, no puedes aglutinar posttraumático, pues no existe la secuencia doble t en español.
No obstante, dependiendo de la aceptación de una palabra, se admite un uso u otro. Por ejemplo, es habitual posmodernismo, pero no postmodernismo, ni post-modernismo. No obstante, las tres formas son correctas.
