Many thanks in advance.

It's hard to guess what it refers to at first.
I'm pretty certain it doesn't refer back to 'value judgments' or those who make those judgments.
The person sitting alone at the movies, and others who do the same thing, would make sense, if a plural wasn't used in the sentence in question.

I think it's supposed to be the person (alguien) you judged.
In English, we can say "them" to refer to a single person, when speaking impersonally. This can also be done in Spanish. Perhaps this is the case in the sentence in question, an impersonal reference to the person sitting alone at the movies.

I agree with Rusty.
The sentence refers to the people around you, who you might fear they'll judge you for doing things that are normally not done alone. These people are perfect strangers that even if they judge you, you will never see them again. So, since you don't know them and they will never be a part of your life, it doesn't matter what their opinion on you is.
The writer even says that maybe they will judge you positively and you will become inspiration to them, since you're brave enough to go to the movies alone.
