"Gracias a mi familia.

Is "El valor del respeto viene de familia" a general statement about where "El valor del respeto" comes from or does she specifically talks about her family and emphasises the fact that it was her family who taught her "respeto"?

Thank you.

Who can tell her thoughts?
It seems she's making a general statement claiming where 'the value of respect' comes from or where it can generally be found ('runs in the family'). This statement is based on her perception, and I can only guess at the perception she has.
I would imagine that not everyone can make the same claim.

"El valor del respeto" refers to respect as a family value.
And "venir de familia" is, as Rusty said, talks about something that is an inherent characteristic of a family.

The author is saying that respect is a value spontaneously or even joyfully instilled in her family. Maybe, as Rusty said, is something that might apply to her family only, but many people are convinced that virtues and principles by which people live all start as positive and strong family values.
