Landscaping Spanish - verbs

Hola,

I'm still studying Spanish and still love the language. Seriously, we have people from Mexico advertising to do landscaping in the newspaper in English, but when they arrive they speak almost no English.

No problem, but my "landscaping terminology" is limited.

Quick question, because sometimes there are regional / national differences in words:

Pull (weeds) arrancar or desmalezar, or desherber? All 3 ok?

to trim (cut only a little): recortar?

Are there any better verbs to use?

Thanks in advance.
