Con los deberes hechos
Need some help from you guys on translating this turn of phrase, please.
The sentence reads "hay que llegar a las épocas de recesión con los deberes hechos". i.e. a company should "do it's homework" in times of plenty so that a recession doesn't cause too much harm. Should I use a literal translation or is there an equivalent turn of phrase in English? Can't think of one at the moment for the life of me Any help appreciated. Thank you.
