Ir a por algo/alguien
I was listening to a Spanish podcast this afternoon in which this construction was used a couple of times.
Ex's: - Vamos a por ellos... - Voy a por ti... It was explained as "looking for" someone/something or "going to get" someone/something. Can you expound on this for me?

He oído "Viene(n) a por mí" con el significado de "They're coming for me (going to hunt me down like a dog)" y también con el significado de "He's coming for me (to give me a lift into town)".
