Si él hubiera tenido un mejor acento español se había vendido aún más discos en español? ¿Sus canciones en español hubieran sido aún más popular?

¿Así que un cantante de habla hispana podría tener éxito en inglés aun con un acento horrible español cuando canta en inglés? Con un acento entre pésimo y aún peor.

Eso lo decide el mercado y la publicidad, no mi gusto disgusto personal por un acento extranjero.

Yes, it is possible. In Spain there are music bands who don't speak any English AT ALL and sing in what is called "inglés vikingo"... and they make a living out of it...

Nat, by the way, had no understanding of the words he was singing... although he would have the overall concept of his songs...

Sarah Brightman sings in a beautiful Italian and a beautiful Spanish, and you can "catch" her English accent just a little bit, her diction being perfect.

Serrat sings in Spanish and in Catalan, and while you could recognize some "Catalan" sound here and there, it becomes irrelevant...

Julio Iglesias got to sing in Japanese and other languages, while his command of these may be rather reduced, he may have sold a bunch of his songs in Japan...

The other day I saw Celine Dion singing in Chinese... I don't speak any, but her performance was impressive...

So, this thing has its plus and its minuses... I tend to look at it from the bright side!

They also change C sound for S sound. This is called "CECEO" and "SESEO". The original sound of "QUIZÄS" is not quisás, is QUIZÄS like the TH sound in "THOUSAND"
