¿Quién te dijo ..

Hello,

I was trying to hear the words in the subtitles "¿Quién te dijo a ti ...
but it sounds to me like she says something different like "Quién te cual dijo .."

Am I mis-hearing it?

There is no "cual" in there. She says "¿quién te dijo a ti que era mi novio?"

Don't you worry. I don't even understand half Spanish speakers even being a native speaker. They have to make an effort to utter the standard pronunciation of their country/region for me to fully understand them.

Spanish has five vowels, maybe six. Spanish speakers use like 30.

Here, they use like 15 (the young man is trying to use a standard pronunciation)
