The word game Chileno introduced is between the adjective "ronco" and the verb "roncar", present tense "yo ronco".

So a possible situation could be "estoy ronco porque ronco mucho" = "I have a sore throat because I snore a lot".

...but the verb "roncar" really has nothing to do with being "ronco".

Besides, roncar in chile (at least) also means more or less that you are the "commanding" voice.

I'm assuming, though, that Chileno was referring to snoring. Maybe he wasn't. He's being strangely silent these past few hours. (Ping! Hernan? Where are you?)
I was in California for the last dos days :->
