Thank you wrholt! I am still not sure about some of my corrections. Could you please check them too? Here is the edited paragraph:

As for the alternative to "con", it depends on the nuance of what you're trying to say. Consider what you wrote: "...para buscar a X con la dirección que..." = "to look for X with the address that ..." Personally, I tend to look for someone "at" an address (the address names a place or location, and I go there) rather than "with" an address (I have the address with me like a tool that I use, analogous to a pencil or notebook). Saying "at" an address in Spanish would use a different preposition than "con". Does this spark any ideas? |

I think either choice (con, en) is fine: sometimes one option is a better choice, and sometimes a different option is a better choice.

Watching "Destinos", eh?
I noticed 2 other little things: "....se dieron cuenta de que sienten un atracción romántica mutua." I would suggest "sentían." You probably chose the present-tense to suggest that the attraction between A. and R. is not something that later ended (although it began in the past,) but the imperfect can convey this. Preterite-over and done. Imperfect- began in the past, may (or may not) be continuing in the present. Edit: Oops, just noticed this thread is 2 months old. The assignment must have long since been turned in! Last edited by Gala; June 14, 2012 at 02:02 AM. |
